Shademaster II is useful as a monostand around trees, in
home lawns, parks and golf course extreme roughs where wear and
tear is not a factor. Shadmaster can be mixed with other
fine fescues such as Tiffany Chewings, Discovery Hard or sheeps
fescues to create a wavy "dunes" look on golf courses.
Combine this product with 1/3 Perennial Ryegrass and 1/3 Kentucky
Bluegrass, you have an all around mix for sun and shade.
Shademaster II performs best in sandy or clay soils where light
irrigation is available. It will withstand moderate drought
conditions. Ideal soil pH is 5.5 to 8.0. Germination takes
7-15 days depending on soil temperatures and first mowing can
generally be performed in about 30 days.
