Description:
Excellent All purpose lawn grass. Works well on
hillsides and shade area - quality mixture.
Polo Brand Mix contains the following ingredients:
MIXTURE VARIETIES*:
Approximately 60% PRG, 30% Fine Fescues & 10% Bluegrass.

60% Perennial Ryegrass (1/3 each variety)
Usually Manhattan IV, Citation Fore and
Catalina II

30% Fine Fescue (hard, creeping red and/or chewings)
Usually includes Aurora Gold Hard and
Tiffany Chewings
- 10% Kentucky Bluegrass
Usually includes Midnight

This mixture produces a
very uniform, leafy, low growing, dense, dark green turf. Each
variety in this mixture has been carefully selected and tested for
outstanding characteristics, resulting in a blend that, with
proper care, will produce the best results in the area.
| Adaptation:
Polo Brand, with its specially blended species, is well adapted
to most soil types. The mixture will do well in both sun and
partially shaded areas. The ryegrasses and bluegrasses will
eventually dominate the sunny areas, while the fine fescues will
dominate in the shady spots. |

Stand Establishment:
During good stand establishment weather (Temperature above 60°F) the
ryegrass in the mixture will germinate in 4 to 7 days, and the
bluegrass in 10 to 20 days. A green tint will appear in 7 to 10
days. Mowing may be required within 21 days and it may be possible
for light use of the turf by this time. Full use of the turf area
should not be attempted until establishment is complete (30 to 40
days).
Fertilizing:
After establishment, total fertilizer requirements should be applied
3 or 4 times throughout the growing season (early spring to late
fall).
Seeding Rates:
If Establishing a New Lawn: 5-6 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
If Overseeding Your Existing Lawn: 2-3 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
