Characteristics Of Bonny Dunes Fescue Seed Blend
Bonny Dunes is one of our most popular choices for shady areas in
Northern Cool Season lawn areas. Bonny Dunes retains the characteristics of its fine fescue
components, and is adapted to low maintenance, shady areas in home
lawns. Bonny Dunes requires minimal moisture and nitrogen
applications to thrive. Bonny Dunes is cold tolerant and is best
adapted from the transition zone northward.
Bonny Dunes is great for areas such as hill sides and low
areas difficult to mow. Bonny Dunes can easily be mowed at a
height of 1 ˝" and offers a dense and beautiful lawn. Bonny Dunes,
when left un-mowed for the season, produces a dense, waving stand
that turns from green to purple to gold and adds height and color
contrast.
Seeding Rates For Bonny Dunes Fescue Seed BlendIf Establishing a New Lawn: 4-5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
If Overseeding Your Existing Lawn: 2-3 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
Bonny Dunes has a medium establishment rate and germinates in 7-10 days.
