TIFFANY Chewings Fescue The Turf type Tiffany is a distinct improvement over older Chewings fescue varieties. Tiffany characteristics:  Very good shade tolerance. Better density and overall turf quality. Low-growing, fine-textured turf; Dark green color and dwarf growth habit. 94% endophyte and good disease resistant. An impressive track record! Tested as experimental variety PST-4CD, ranked high in the 1995 fine fescue trials.

Tiffany is useful as a monostand around trees, in home lawns, and golf course extreme rough where wear and tear is not a factor and shade may be more than normal.

Seeding and maintenance: Tiffany performs well in poor soils. Irrigation is useful for establishment. Tiffany is drought tolerant. Ideal soil pH is from 5.5 to 8.0. For low maintenance, 1 to 2 lbs. actual N per 1,000 sq. ft. per year is ample, 3 to 5 lbs. per 1,000 for high maintenance. After seeding, germination will take place in about 7 to 15 days, depending on soil temperatures, and the first mowing can be expected in about 30 days.

100% Tiffany or mixed with other fine fescues:
Home lawns - 6 to 8 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
Parks, Golf course roughs - 250 lbs. / Acre..

When mixed 1/3 - 1/3 - 1/3 with Perennial Ryegrass & Kentucky Bluegrass:
Home lawns: 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
Parks - Sod Farms - Industrial - Golf Roughs: 200-250 lbs. / Acre.

SEEDING & MAINTENANCE:
Tiffany performs well in poor soils.  Irrigation is useful for establishment.  Tiffany is a drought tolerant grass good for use in shady areas.  Ideal soil pH is from 5.5 to 8.0.   Use 1 to 2 lbs of actual N per 1000 sq. ft. per year. In high maintenance uses you can increase this to 3 to 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.  --- Germination occurs about 7 to 15 days after seeding depending on soil temperatures.   First mowing will generally be required after 30 days.
