Signature Series Blend
is a lower growing,
dark green tall fescue blend which forms a dense turf for sod
production, home lawns, parks, athletic fields, and golf course
roughs. A great premium Professional Turf Blend! |
Signature contains three different elite tall fescue varieties:*
50% Plantation or
Signia Tall Fescue
30% Durana, Signia,
or Duster
20% Rebel Exeda or Virtue
*Percentages and mixture varieties subject to change.
Other
turf type varieties or percentages may be substituted
due to crop production or availability
limitations at time of packaging. - All Signature blends
have Plantation as a part of the mixture. We do attempt to keep
the varieties included updated as frequently as possible. -
Normal mixture is the first variety listed after % above. Occasionally
other varieties may be included in this blend..
These
varieties are moderately low growing, fine textured and persistent
under tough environmental conditions. Signature Series has
been a top-performing blend throughout the transition zone and has
shown good disease resistance to brown patch, fusarium patch, and
net blotch. It has an average spring green-up time and this far,
test data has shown Signature Series to be superior in
color, leaf texture, and disease resistance when tested against
comparable products.

Designed for high quality turf areas such as athletic
fields, parks, golf courses, commercial properties, and home
lawns.
Maintenance:
Signature Series has a low to moderate
nitrogen requirement with 2-3 pounds of actual N per 1,000
square feet per year adequate in most situations.

Signature
Series' optimum mowing height is 1.5-2.5 inches, but can
be adjusted higher or lower depending upon maintenance
practices and intended use. It requires significantly less
water than perennial ryegrass and Kentucky Bluegrasses to
maintain a lush, green, vigorous stand.

Establishment:
For best results, Signature Series
should be seeded at a rate equivalent to 8 to 10 pounds per
thousand square feet. Cover seed to a depth not exceeding ¼"
and keep seedlings moist until well rooted. The first mowing
may be expected after 30 days, or when the grass blades
reach a length of 3". Mow back to 2" until turf is
established. Limited use of the area can be expected in 6
weeks. Signature Series can withstand a mowing height
of 1.5 inches.
