Tall Fescue Grass Rebel Exeda

Rebel Grass Exeda is a high performance, dark green, fine textured tall fescue. It is a cool season perennial grass that develops an extensive fibrous root system. Rebel Exeda is recommended for use on premium home lawns, sports fields and other high traffic areas, and park settings. Rebel Exeda is suited for use by the turf professional as well as the discriminating homeowner.

Rebel Grass - Exeda Facts

Recommended Use:
Golf Courses (Roughs), Sod Farms, Athletic Fields, Parks, and Home Lawns

Climatic Zones: 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 (may not be adaptable to all areas within each zone)

Establishment & Maintenance:
Sow in sun or shade in spring or fall. Mid-summer sowing is not recommended except for areas of dense shade that can be well watered. Lime soil to 5.5 – 6.0 pH and follow soil test recommendations for fertilization. Maintain adequate soil moisture for proper germination. Under ideal conditions, germination may begin in as few as 9 days. Full germination may take up to 21 days. First mowing is suggested when plants reach approximately 2 inches. (7.5 cm).

• Parks & Home Lawns 8 - 10 lbs/1000 sq ft
  (3 1/2 - 5 kgs/100 sq meters)
• Fairways & Roughs 5 - 10 lbs/1000 sq ft
  (2 – 5 kgs/100 sq meters)
• Athletic Fields 10 - 15 lbs/1000 sq ft
  (5 –7 kgs/100 sq meters)

REBEL EXEDA Planting Information

Re-seeding lawns:

• Rake Spots that are bare and thin, scratching surface deeply, the Fertilize.
• Spread seed wherever needed.
• Rake again to cover seed lightly. If you have a light roller, use it at this time.
• Water thoroughly and regularly, using only a fine spray.

For New Lawns:

• Turn soil to a depth of at least 4".
• Break up all lumps - rake off stones and debris.
• Rake the soil bed, providing a slight slope away from the home, thereby encouraging good lawn drainage.
• Work in fertilizer according to manufactures instructions. A lawn starter fertilizer is your best choice.
• Break the surface of the soil with a rake and spread half of the package North to South and the other half, East to West.  Then rake lightly.
• Water thoroughly and regularly, using only a fine spray.
• Do NOT mow until the entire lawn is at least 3 inches in height.
