Fescue Blend PLUS

- Produces a dense, green, weed resistant turf.
- This blend is very similar to Pennington's
EnviroBlend Tall Fescue mix.

Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in fall and early
spring. |
Replacing Undesirable Lawns
- During the growing season, spray undesirable turf with a
non-selective herbicide for lawn use. Follow the directions on
the label.
- After the lawn turns brown, continue seeding as outlined in
the 4 Steps to Success.
Improving Bare Spots
- Mow lawn closely.
- Remove dead leaves, grass, etc.
- Follow the 4 Steps to Success.
Care & Maintenance
Fertilize fall and early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Once
lawn is established, apply pre-emerge crabgrass preventer in early
spring, weed and feed in mid-spring. Use lime when pH is low. Water
twice weekly when established.
Usually Containing 3-4 varieties
selected from the following:
Penn 1901,
Signia,
Prospect, Rebel II,
Oncue,
Forte'.
May occasionally contain
varieties such as Rebel
Sentry,
Durana,
Virtue, and
Duster Tall Fescue
varieties*.
Percentages of each variety can range from 15%
to 40%
Note: Different package sizes may contain a
different blend of varieties.
*Other turf type
varieties or percentages may be substituted
Most mixtures currently contain Penn 1901
along with 2-3 other varieties
Substitutions are
due to crop production or availability limitations at time of
packaging. - Some 50# Fescue PLUS Fescue
packages may have 3 or 4 varieties blended. We
do attempt to keep the varieties included
updated as frequently as possible.
Occasionally other varieties may be
substitute varieties in these blends.
